Here are some terms and conditions that we've seen on gift certificates in auctions. (Keep in mind that this is a LONG list of just about everything we've seen, but most do not have more than a few.) You will need to decide which matter to your business, as the fewer restrictions your package have, the more generous your company will appear to attendees:
- Not valid with any other offer or discount.
- Not valid with happy hour and specials.
- Must be used in one visit.
- For new members only.
- One promotion per person.
- One certificate per table.
- Gratuity is not included.
- Shipping is not included.
- Not redeemable for cash. (also "No cash value.")
- Redeemable Sunday - Thursday.
- For dinner only.
- Non-transferable.
- May not be sold or re-sold online.
- Subject to availability.
- Not responsible for loss or theft.
- This certificate is not valid for admission and must be exchanged at box office during regular hours for tickets.
